The "Tractatus contra Graecos" (1252) by an anonymous Dominican from the Convent of Constantinople is a work of controversial theology that is striking due to the way that it interacts in a myriad of ways with contemporary discourses. It is considered to be paradigmatic of the East-West conflict of the high and late middle ages and their impact on today’s reciprocal perceptions of church(es) and theology.
