For centuries, their schools throughout these areas spread the educational curriculum of late antiquity from the fifth and sixth centuries. This book examines the presence and function of Greek knowledge in various works, documenting how the East Syrians became a hub of exchange between Greek, Persian and Early Islamic cultures.
