Beschreibung

Murder and Manslaughter as well as lifelong imprisonment are key elements of the overall criminal justice system as determined by the German Criminal Code. They have once again been the object of intensive reform efforts in recent years. For the first time, since 2015, § 217 Criminal Code punishes some otherwise non-punishable aids to suicide. This has been a matter of dispute from the outset and is still the subject of ongoing disagreement.
