The Evolution of Slavic Aspect

Beschreibung

This study is the first cross-Slavic analysis of the historical development of Slavic verbal aspect. It employs principles of cognitive linguistics, grammaticalization theory, and contact linguistics in the analysis of processes that have combined to produce an eastern and a western aspectual system within Slavic.
