Beschreibung

This textbook is an introduction and overview of the scientific principles of many metal corrosion problems. Besides a brief insight into thermodynamic, kinetic and biological fundamentals of corrosion phenomena, the corrosion mechanism in aqueous, atmospheric and biological conditions is presented. A major focus lies on the discussion of the influence on alloying elements, microstructures and surfaces on the corrosion properties.
