I was born in 1962 in Thuringian Holzland; growing up in the dictatorship of the German Democratic Republic, I wanted to discover a way to live and create completely and freely. I come from a family of designers and for me, art is living and creating compositions with both acquired and existing skills.
My work does not tell a specific story but rather is supposed to convey a feeling that illustrates God ́s creation. I have been painting using solely oil since 1994. When I prepare my canvas, I leave the real world and immerse myself into a world of fantasy. My creations are born from my heart and then expressed onto my canvas. I love experimenting with using different mediums and textures. I believe that the texture of oil paint is nonpareil and consequently I can bring my intuition and the feeling of the respective mood into my work.
