I have the feeling I have to paint concrete things, but principally capture the emotions, which I experience when I see something beautiful, fascinating. Often its natural landscapes, gardens, flowers, trees, the ocean, water, light ... the four seasons. These images I need to live through again, feel present in those places, so that I can start my fantasy and imagination and through those bring forth my admiration and positive emotions to the painting, which I am working on. Painting nature is an endless inspiration for me. Consequently, my work is diligent - the colour, the texture are a part of my imagination. It is a moment, which I am trying to capture, so that I can again feel the emotion like before. I love to work with oil paint; their colour range suits me, the possibilities to create with a variety of layers and textures. Bio Ivana Orviska is a painter who lives and works in Bratislava, Slovakia but much of her work is created en plein air in Majorca, in the area Llucmajor. Her impressionist style captures images of nature, the beauty of this world, its colours and light. She focuses on oil work, which allows her to capture her visions of light, matter and space in her paintings. Therefore, her paintings are layered, which facilitates their untraditional texture and colour. Her motivation is to present her inner landscape and emotions on the canvas, experien- ced during travelling and go back in time to the actual places she visited, through her artwork.
