The paintings Karin is known for are both largescale, unconventional and expressive. Their colours are particularly strong and vibrant. She paints a broad selection of themes from nature and people in all settings. Her view of things is not congruent with reality, but a very own interpretation that focuses on the essential and positive aspects of her pictorial subjects. Her style is generally figurative, but does play with abstract and surreal elements.
She was trained among others by the art school of Sybille Kreynhop Kask and the following lecturers at Kunstakademie Bad Reichenhall: Markus Lüpertz, Elvira Bach,and Walter Strobl, She took part in the masterclass for illustration by Quint Buchholz, for sculpture and object by Jutta Hass.
Karin’s works were and are currently shown by various exhibitions and and around Hamburg, Germany and internationally.
