Geoffrey Pimlott, is a painter, a member of the Royal Watercolour Society, and the National Acrylic Painters‘ Association, in the UK, where he has exhibited widely, as well as in France, Germany, Italy, the USA, and Thailand, and won a number of awards on the way, including the ‚RWS Open 1st Prize‘, in 2005, and most recently ‚ The Best Contemporary Painting Award‘ in this year‘s NAPA exhibition. In 2012 he abandoned the seen world to develop his now pure abstract work. Geoffrey‘s paintings have no narrative, only visual presence. The abstract forms of shape and colour layer the paintings‘ elements in couplings of asymmetry. He works entirely with water-based mediums, on papers and canvas; these being the playgrounds where each work emerges through process and practice.
