“Observing beauty inspires me, expressing it empowers me”
Since I was a child, painting has been an outlet for my creative expression. The beauty of the Greek landscape, the light, the colours, the shapes have been my inspiration, which usually transformed into simple sketches and drawings on paper. During my architectural studies I had the opportunity to further develop my skills and broaden my knowledge through experimenting with different materials and techniques. However, a focus on my professional career and family life thereafter have ‘conspired’ to suppress my creative side. Nevertheless, my strong artistic instincts have acted as a natural rebellion against a conformist world, whilst technological ad- vancements such as smart phones have provided me with opportunities to capture moments of diverse visual beauty in the countries where I have lived and travelled. Since relocating to Bucharest, I have increasingly devoted my spare time to renewing my creative interests and am thankful to have come across Zoltán Béla, an established Romanian artist, who has opened up new possibilities for me and whose work is a source of inspiration. My themes are currently inspired mainly by natural and urban landscapes, captured by my photographic eye.
