Architectonic design is at once an aesthetic and social practice, and reflects the social, economic, and technological changes of its era. The book presents the results of the Vienna Institute for Art and Architecture research project Design Paradigm. Using "designing research," it analyzes the elements of the design process and relates them to architectural discourse.
