Beschreibung

This book interrogates the collapse of universal moral frameworks in an age defined by post-truth politics, algorithmic authority, and ethical fragmentation. Rejecting both nostalgic moralism and relativistic cynicism, Juan de Dios Vázquez advances an original philosophical framework that reconceives ethics as a dynamic, plural, and contingent practice. Drawing on critical theory, post-structuralism, and existentialism, the book diagnoses the erosion of shared truth, legitimacy, and responsibility, while exploring how meaning is reconstructed through ambiguity, creativity, and care. From the politics of algorithmic decision-making to the decline of human rights discourse, it offers a systematic analysis of contemporary ethical disorientation and its implications. This is a timely and provocative contribution for scholars and advanced students of philosophy, political theory, and cultural studies seeking to understand what ethical life can become after the end of moral certainty.
