Beschreibung

This book redefines how responsibility, risk, and agency are understood in algorithmic societies. While “digital responsibility” is widely promoted in education, policy, and industry, it remains narrowly framed—as an individual moral duty or a technical skillset. This book challenges that reduction. It introduces forensic intelligence as a missing sociotechnical capacity: the ability to trace, interpret, and interrogate platform infrastructures and algorithmic systems. It reframes digital resilience not as a psychological trait or security protocol, but as an epistemic and civic capacity—the competence to adapt, interpret, and act under informational uncertainty. Integrating empirical validation and theoretical innovation, the book presents the FROM Model, which links digital literacy, capital, and security with resilience and citizenship. The aim is to bridge gaps between ethics, governance, communication theory, and real-world practice. Written for scholars, policymakers, educators, and system designers, this interdisciplinary monograph provides both an analytical framework and applied insight. It transforms dominant narratives of responsibility by showing how it must be relational, communicative, and institutionally supported—if it is to be effective at all. The book supports a paradigm shift: from compliance to cognition, from individual blame to systemic accountability.
