B. S. Daya Sagar is Professor and Founding Head of Systems Science and Informatics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, India. He is specialized in mathematical morphology and fractal geometry, and their applications in geosciences and spatial data sciences. He has authored over 100 research papers in journals and authored or edited 12 books or journal special issues. He received the IGU’s Krishnan Medal-2002, the IAMG's Georges Matheron Award–2011, and the IEEE’s GRSS Distinguished Lectureship–2020.
Qiuming Cheng is Professor of School of Earth Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University, China and Founding Director of State Key Lab of Geological Processes and Mineral Resources (GPMR), CUG. Cheng has specialized in mathematical geoscience with research focus on nonlinear mathematical modelling of earth processes and geoinformatics for mineral resources prediction. He has authored over 300 research articles. He received the IAMG's Krumbein Medal–2008 and the AAG's Gold Medal–2020. He was President of the IAMG (2012-2016), and the IUGS (2016-2020).
Jennifer McKinley is Professor of Mathematical Geoscience, Geography and Director of the Centre for GIS and Geomatics at Queen’s University Belfast, UK. As a Chartered Geologist, Geological Society of London, her research has focused on the application of geostatistics, spatial data analysis, compositional data analysis and GISci, to natural resource management, soil and water geochemistry, environmental and criminal forensics, human health and the environment, and nature-based solutions for urban environments. She was President of the IAMG (2016-2020).
Frits Agterberg is a Dutch-born Canadian Mathematical Geologist who attended Utrecht University (1954-1961). After defending his doctoral thesis on structural geology of the Italian Alps and a post-doctorate fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, he became "petrological statistician" at the Geological Survey of Canada in 1962 and headed their Geomathematics Section (1968-1996). He has authored over 250 scientific papers, 5 books and edited 12 scientific publications. He received the IAMG's Krumbein Medal-1978 and was IAMG President (2004-2008).
