This picture book unifies us: I give you a clue: We eat, we have our needs and we do a number two! Children and adults want to see themselves again as part of the forgotten cycle of nature, as part of the reinforcing big picture. A future-oriented toilet culture can learn to appreciate our excreta as valuable substances. How can we break the taboo of the most natural thing in the world and rediscover its value for our soils? Together we can rediscover the connections from “on the plate” to “back into the ground”. The fertility of our soils is our legacy to the future. Humus is our basis for life. What must be, must be – Humus!

Dominik Blöchl
Geboren 1978 in der Nähe von Ravensburg, Deutschland, spielt er seit seiner Kindheit Klavier, singt und komponiert. Er studierte Tontechnik in Tasmanien und spielt sowohl solo als auch in verschiedenen Bandprojekten. Durch seine Eltern wurde er an nachhaltiges, ökologisches Denken und Handeln herangeführt. Durch eine Begegnung in Stuttgart lernte er Reinhold Bantle im Schwarzwald kennen, der ihm wiederum von Annie Francé-Harrars Buch "Die letzte Chance für eine Zukunft ohne Not" erzählte. Dieses und die Broschüren "Einfälle statt Abfälle" von Christian Kuhtz (insbesondere über Komposttoiletten) weckten Dominiks Interesse an Humusaufbau und Recycling.
