The alleys are relaxed, and you can see the residents and the neighbourhood from time to time talking, shopping, going to work, or bringing their children from or to school, as well as numerous of students meeting in the cafés to drink an espresso and exchange ideas. In these districts, the freshly washed laundry of the Venetians blows in front of most of the windows on numerous clothes lines with clothe pegs attached. The clothes lines are fascinatingly connected from one house to the other, and the laundry hangs on them like art, like an installation or a performance. They move with the wind, and you are so fascinated by the sight, the simplicity and the traditional origins that it triggers an unbelievable feeling of wellbeing and admiration ...
