Laura Linzmeier is a research associate at the Department of Romance Studies at the University of Regensburg (Germany). She completed her studies in Romance Studies at the same university with a focus on Italian and French linguistics. Her research comprises the study of minority languages and cultures in Sardinia and led to several fieldwork visits for her studies on Sassarese. Her research focus is on sociolinguistics, minority languages, island studies, maritime communication and functional literacy.
