The author is a renowned expert in food security strategies in the African Great Lakes Region. He was awared a PhD by the Faculty of Theology of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). Jude Likori Omukaga is currently living in Port Victoria (Kenya) where he works as Lecturer at the University of Kabianga and a Parish Assistant at the St. Nicholas Parish.
