Max, the story's main character, is part of an archaeological expedition investigating a newly discovered Mayan pyramid. During the expedition, the team encounters various problems, each solved with the help of a unique robot Max creates using the Lego Mindstorms NXT kit.
This book shows how to design a NXT robot to solve real-world problems. It is organized into five sections each featuring a different robot project. Each section begins with part of the fictional story. It then examines the problem the archaeological team encounters and discusses building theory, identifying the concepts and providing the knowledge to first brainstorm and then program a robotics solution.
