Easy-to-assign units include a pre-test, multimedia instruction, and a post-test that assesses what students have learned about a particular topic such as critical reading, the writing process, research and using sources, grammar, style, mechanics, and help for multilingual writers. Many units also include brief, accessible videos that illustrate the concepts at hand
Diagnostics that help establish a baseline for instruction. Eight diagnostics are available to identify areas of strength and areas for improvement on topics related to grammar and reading. The diagnostics offer visual reports that show performance by topic, class, and student as well as comparison reports that track improvement over time
LearningCurve adaptive quizzing. The pre-built units include LearningCurve, game-like online quizzing that adapts to what students already know and helps them focus on what they need to learn. LearningCurve links to supplemental study pages to support students as they work through topics
Twenty-five reading selections with comprehension quizzes. Assign a range of classic and contemporary readings directly from LaunchPad Solo for Readers and Writers. Each reading includes a Lexile® measure to help instructors connect students with the right level of challenge
Access to Exercise Central. Exercise Central is a growing bank of grammar, punctuation, style, writing, and research exercises, ready-made for instructors to add to any unit
The ability to monitor student progress. Use the gradebook to see which students are on track and which need additional help with specific topics
