The Charismatic Movement is one of the 20th Century's most dynamic, fastest growing Christian movements. An early form of this movement, Pentecostalism, began in Topeka, Kansas, in 1901. A decade later it arrived in Russia, and its spread is an ideal case study of how an American Christian movement can take root in a foreign, indeed hostile culture.
