Based on the hieroglyphic texts of the Ramesside Age of Ancient Egypt (c.1300-1100 BC), the books in this series present a modern English translation of the vast majority of historical sources for this important epoch of Egyptian history. This volume covers a period of economic and political decline and the rise of power in priesthood in Egypt. It includes the vast majority of inscriptions from the reign of Ramesses IV to Ramesses XI, the tenth and final king of the Twentieth Dynasty (c.1155-1078 BC). Many of the texts included have been translated into English for the first time in this volume.
