This book is derived from two of McCormac's books on surveying plus increased coverage of Global Positioning Systems and the use of Geographic Information Services (GPS and GIS). Employers are now expressing concern that recent structural engineering graduates do not have training in surveying techniques--this book provides the basic concepts of traditional surveying techniques with a lot more coverage on the use of GPS and GIS services.
