This book is about increasing team performance. It focuses onbuilding system dynamics models when tackling a mix of interrelatedstrategic problems to enhance team learning, foster consensus, andcreate commitment. The book is intended to be applied in theorganizations of today. As the "command and control" organizationevolves into one of decision-making teams, so these teams havebecome the critical building blocks upon which the performance ofthe organization depends. The team members face an increasedcomplexity of decision making with the interrelation of severalstrategic problems. What this means is that people have differentviews of the situation and will define problems differently.However, research shows that this can in fact be very productive ifand when people learn from each other in order to build a sharedperspective.
