Wireless is a term used to describe telecommunications in whichelectromagnetic waves (rather than some form of wire) carry the signal over part or all of the communication pathand the network is the totality of switches, transmission links andterminals used for the generation, handling and receiving oftelecoms traffic. Wireless networks are rapidly evolving, and are playing anincreasing role in the lives of people throughout the world andever-larger numbers of people are relying on the technologydirectly or indirectly.
