Enough reproductive physiology of the mare and stallion isincluded to clarify the management techniques which are explainedlater in the book, but unnecessary details are avoided. Artificialinsemination and embryo transfer are also explained, as areselecting the broodmare and stallion, management at covering andduring pregnancy, and post-partum care of the mare and foal.
